Angel & Devil Playing Cards

These angel and devil-themed playing cards are whimsical and charming—perfect for anyone with both a sweet and mischievous side. Created using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop for my Specialized Print Design class, this deck combines playful characters with clean, minimal design.

The concept was to design fun, visually appealing characters while keeping the suits easily recognizable. To highlight contrast, I gave the red suits (hearts and diamonds) an angelic theme, while the black suits (spades and clubs) took on a devilish persona.

One of the biggest challenges was balancing detail and clarity. I wanted each character to feel expressive and unique, but still ensure the suits were instantly identifiable during gameplay. To achieve this, I focused on cute, simple character designs. A subtle pattern was also added to the card case to reflect the overall theme and help users quickly identify the deck.
